Foster carers are a vital component in us rescuing and rehoming many deserving rescue animals. Without the help of our compassionate and selfless foster carers we simply would not be able to do what we do. Please fill out this application accurately - your answers will help us to assess your suitability for fostering and help us to match you with an appropriate foster animal that fits your circumstances. Before completing this application please understand that our foster carers are responsible for providing their foster pet with a loving home that is safe and secure at all times. Our cats are to be treated like one of the family. We will cover the expense of any veterinary work required and agreed upon such as de-sexing, vaccinations, parasite control and micro chipping. You understand that providing untruthful answers or failure to comply with the requirements of the foster carer agreement can result in the immediate termination of your services. You agree to provide your foster cat with constant access to fresh water, premium food, bedding and treat them like part of your family.You are available and willing to transport your foster cat to veterinary appointments, meet and greets etc. You agree to allow potential adopters to meet your foster cat, at a time and place mutually convenient.You understand that your foster cat must be kept in a safe and secure environment at all times and is not allowed outside under any circumstances.Your foster cat is not to be left unsupervised around children under 13 years of age under any circumstances.You understand that your foster cat must wear a collar with the provided I.D tag attached at all times. If the tag is lost or broken then a Project Underdog Rescue representative must be contacted immediately so that a replacement can be arranged.You agree not to leave your foster cat in anyone else's care unless you have first gained written approval from a Project Underdog Rescue representative and they have read and agreed to the terms and conditions stated in this contract.You agree not to leave your foster cat alone, unsupervised for longer than 12 hours unless you have first gained written approval from a Project Underdog Rescue representative.You agree that the foster cat will stay at the address listed on your foster application and will not be taken on holidays, to other peoples home etc. unless written approval is first gained from a Project Underdog Rescue representative.You agree to keep in touch on a weekly basis with a Project Underdog Rescue representative and provide weekly progress reports on the foster cat and that any contact made by a Project Underdog Rescue representative should be returned within 24 hours.You understand that Project Underdog Rescue aims to cover reasonable and agreed costs of foster caring including any necessary veterinary care so long as the foster cat is taken to one of our approved veterinary clinics and you have gained written approval from a Project Underdog Rescue representative. We must be notified immediately of any medical or behavioural issues as soon as they arise (no matter how insignificant they may seem). You are personally responsible for any and all financial expenses that are incurred in relation to fostering unless otherwise agreed in writing.You understand that Project Underdog Rescue cannot be held responsible for any damage your foster cat may cause to you, your property, personal belongings or other people and items on the property listed while under your care.You understand that the handling of animals and other volunteer activities may place you in a hazardous situation and could result in injury to yourself or your personal property. On behalf of yourself, and your heirs’ personal representatives and assigns, you hereby release, discharge, indemnify and hold harmless Project Underdog Rescue and its directors, officers, employees and agents from any and all claims, causes of action and demands of any nature, whether known or unknown, arising out of or in connection with your volunteer activities.You agree to return any equipment or supplies provided to you by Project Underdog Rescue, if requested to do so.You understand that the foster cat is the property of Project Underdog Rescue and you are required to return them to Project Underdog Rescue if requested to do so, within 24 hours of receiving notification.You understand that your role is solely to provide a temporary home for the foster cat and that although your opinion regarding the match between the foster cat and potential adopters is important, the final decision is with Project Underdog Rescue.You understand that in all your dealings with the public as a foster carer that those members of the public will consider your words and actions to be representative of the attitudes and positions of Project Underdog Rescue.
